Everyone
knows where the Heart is present in our body;

peripheral heart is basically a muscle called as Soleus muscle. It is located
on the back of your leg (calf). It runs from knee to heel and covered by
another muscle called gastrocnemius. It's helpful in walking and running.
Why
it is called as peripheral heart?
There are blood vessels running through this muscle. When it
contracts, it pumps the blood upwards towards the heart from periphery. It acts
as skeletal muscle pump.
